RESTAURANT NIGHTS Choral Boosters will schedule two restaurant fundraisers, one each semester at Falls Church City restaurants where the Boosters will receive a percentage of the sales for a given day and encourage FCCPS families to support city businesses with their patronage. The first restaurant night will be in September 23rd from 1pm to 8pm at Tropical Smoothie Café. Be sure to mention the Choral Boosters! The second will be in late March at a location not yet determined.  Proceeds from the fall restaurant night will be targeted for the newly established Choral Booster Scholarship.

MICKEY’S MUSIC SPECTACULAR In an interactive concert/activity, this annual ticketed event is programmed and designed for a younger audience, who are encouraged to wear costumes to the event. The concert will be held in the auditorium at Meridian High School on Sunday, October 24th.  Our high school and middle school singers present music from Disney movies and shows, followed by activities with little ones at the MEH cafetorium.  The students also collect and donate materials for these activities.  Funds go toward costs incurred at the multi-school Big Sing Choir Retreat held this year at Meridian High School. POINSETTIA SALE ENDS NOVEMBER 9! Choral Boosters will sponsor a Second Annual Poinsettia sale, offering multiple-sized poinsettias at competitive prices to the FCCPS community.  To meet the requirements of the supplying nursery (Meadows Farms), orders must be placed by mid-November.  Poinsettias may be used as auditorium decoration for the Winter Concerts after which supporters can take home their flowers. Alternate delivery will be arranged for those not attending the concerts.  Proceeds will contribute to the newly established Choral Booster Scholarship program and to accompanist costs for the Winter concerts.


It’s almost time for delivery of our beautiful poinsettias! If you ordered plants, here are the ways to get them from Meridian High School, where they will be delivered:   
– If you plan to attend one of the Middle School choir concerts on December 14, come to the Meridian cafeteria to pick up your plants before or after you hear your child’s grade sing. Poinsettias will be sorted alphabetically by last name on the order.  
– If you plan to attend the High School concert on December 15, pick up your plants after the concert since they will be decorating the stage for the concert.  
– If you do not plan to attend the middle or high school choir concerts, please pick up your plants 3:00 -8:00 pm on December 14 in the high school cafeteria.  
– If you are unable to choose any of the options above, please contact Beth Neal to make other arrangements.

GIVING TREE Patrons attending the Winter concerts will be able to select specified “gifts” to support choral programs, including sheet music, uniform accessories, scholarship contributions, audition fees for District Chorus, support for private lessons, etc.

BROADWAY DESSERTS Combining fun music and tasty treats, Broadway Desserts is an annual ticketed show of numerous “acts” presented by high school and middle school students in the Mary Ellen Henderson cafetorium.  Students donate desserts which are served at intermission by parent volunteers, who also help with set-up and clean-up.  Planned performance dates are February 4 & 5, 2022.   All funds from this activity go toward accompanist and music fees throughout the year as well as costs of district chorus.
